Shannon (Gill) Cameron is the daughter of David and Linda Bryan of Hennessey, Oklahoma, and Herman and Susie Gill of Texas. She was raised in the Lacy community and attended Hennessey Schools, graduating from Hennessey High School in 1991. Shannon went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Education from Williams Baptist College.
Shannon married Jeff Cameron, and the couple now make their home in Annieville, Arkansas. They have six childrenโStellaura, Sierra, Brooke, Cashion, Berkeley, and Jenner, and are proud grandparents to eight grandchildren: Payton, Brantley, Waylan, Kohen, Wylder, Kayson, Bristow, and Baylor.
Together, Jeff and Shannon own and operate a farm and agricultural fencing business specializing in custom cattle working systems. From fences and overheads to cattle guards and poultry farm needs, their true passion lies in helping customers design functional, customized cattle pens complete with tubs, alleys, and walkways, all built to fit each herdโs unique needs.
In addition to the fencing business, Shannon also runs Backroad Threads, a wholesale apparel company featuring western graphic designs. Life stays busy on the farm, with their two youngest boys still at home, both high school freshmen. Cashion plays baseball, while Jenner keeps things lively alongside his brother.
The Camerons run about 200 head of cattle and a few good horses that Shannon rides whenever she can. Her favorite moments are spent riding with her grandkids, making memories that remind her why she loves the rural life. When sheโs not on horseback, youโll find her at the lake or cheering from the bleachers at one of her kidsโ games.
Shannon has always had a deep love for animals, family, and the farming lifestyle, but nothing brings her more joy than being โNana.โ As she says, โGrandkids have a way of making life just a little sweeter.โ
