Both Emma and Jocelyn wrapped up their senior seasons as team leaders and examples of what determination can accomplish. Competing in Class 2A, the Hennessey Lady Eagles girls’ cross country team once again proved they belong among Oklahoma’s most competitive small-school programs.
At the 2025 State Meet, Copeland clocked a 13:23.4, finishing 30th overall, while Matousek crossed in 13:49.8, placing 45th among 140 runners. Their performances capped years of steady improvement and leadership that helped elevate Hennessey’s team culture.
