Pene’s grandparents, Jacque and Harry Moore and Catherine and Loren Cline, are all from Hennessey. She graduated from Hennessey High School in 1983 and attended the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) for one semester.
Pene has a diverse background in various professions. She has worked as a field appraiser for the Kingfisher County Assessor’s Office, at the Hennessey Clipper, driving a limo, cutting down trees, ranching, and in the superintendent’s office. Additionally, she was employed at the Agricultural Stabilization Conservation Service (now known as the FSA office) and spent time working for a couple of oilfield companies. However, her favorite role has always been raising her children and being a mom.
Pene has five children and one son-in-law: Lacey and Levi Copeland, Mitchell Cline Mills, Matthew Mills, Gracie Mills, and her bonus son, Chace Stalker. She also has three granddaughters: Emma Copeland, Makynlee Copeland, and Ellie Sipe Copeland. Pene loves watching her granddaughters play sports and participate in cross country.
With a warm and inviting smile, Pene truly cares about connecting with people, no matter the circumstance. She is not only a devoted supporter of her family but also a cherished member of her community.
