Hennessey cross country has plenty to be excited about. On the girls’ side, Emma Copeland is out front leading the way, and the pack behind her is starting to tighten up—a good sign that the team can climb the standings as the season goes on. The boys are just a step away from moving up too; if the fourth and fifth runners can close the gap on the top three, they’ll jump a few spots fast. And the younger groups are already making noise. The junior high girls grabbed fourth, while the 5th/6th grade girls won their division outright. That kind of depth means Hennessey’s program is set up well for the next couple of years.
