Grandparents hold a special place in the hearts of their grandchildren, and last week the Hennessey Early Childhood Center (ECC) made sure they knew just how much they are loved. The school hosted its annual Grandparents Day celebration, welcoming dozens of proud grandparents through the doors to spend quality time with their little Eagles.
Students were excited to show off their classrooms and introduce their grandparents to teachers and friends. The day was filled with activities including singing, storytelling, STEM projects, art, and outdoor play. The ECC staff served cookies and drinks, creating a warm and festive atmosphere where laughter and smiles were in abundance.
Grandparents joined their little ones in activities that highlighted learning and creativity while strengthening family connections. Whether sharing a story, enjoying a snack together, or taking part in games, the children were beaming with pride as they showed their loved ones what they have been learning at school.
Hennessey’s Grandparents Day at the ECC was more than just an event. It was a celebration of family ties, community spirit, and the special role grandparents play in shaping young lives. As one teacher put it, “When grandparents walk through our doors, it’s like love itself shows up to class.”
