The Hennessey Eagles faced off against the Chisholm Longhorns in a challenging game that ended with a score of 53-14 in favor of the Longhorns. The Eagles got off to an exciting start when Luis Montoya caught a 26-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Levi Ferrel, leveling the game at 7-7 after Montoya added the extra point.
However, the Longhorns quickly regained control. Chisholm’s QB Connor Quintero led his team, throwing multiple touchdown passes, including a 33-yard pass to Manu Smolinski that began the scoring run. The Eagles fought hard, but Chisholm’s offense proved to be too much.
Despite falling behind, the Eagles showed resilience. In the fourth quarter, Alex Gonzalez found the end zone with a 19-yard rushing touchdown, bringing the final score to 53-14.
