The Dover High School yearbook staff is stepping up its game this year—thanks to new tools, new training, and a little expert guidance.
On Thursday, September 4, the class welcomed Jack Quirk, founder of the All About Network, along with multimedia journalist Maitland Woody, for a hands-on photo workshop. The session came at the perfect time, as the program recently received a grant to purchase new cameras and editing software, giving students everything they need to take their yearbook production to the next level.
Using sample images, Quirk walked students through the art of framing—showing how small adjustments can turn an ordinary picture into a standout shot. His focus was on practical techniques the students could apply right away.
And this isn’t a one-time visit. Quirk plans to meet with the class throughout the school year, offering mentorship as students gather photos and stories for the 2025–26 yearbook. Photo by Maitland Woody
