She grew up alongside her sister, April Daniel, and went on to pursue her education at Northern Oklahoma College (NOC), earning an Associate of Science degree in business. She later studied at Rose State Collegein Midwest City, where she completed her Paralegal Degree along with an Associate of Applied Science.
Jamie’s career has taken her to many places. She returned to Oklahoma in 2005, living in Marshall and Perry before relocating with her husband, Tony Mier, to Dubuque, Iowa, in 2010 for his position at John Deere & Company.
Two years later, in Hudson, Iowa, Jamie shifted gears and became a licensed insurance agent, eventually starting her own insurance company. Alongside her career in insurance, she discovered a passion for cake decorating. In 2013, the couple moved to Cimarron, Kansas, again for Tony’s job. By 2015, Jamie returned to Oklahoma to help care for her father before moving back to Kansas the following year.
Today, Jamie and Tony live in Dodge City, where she has served as the Deputy Court Clerk for the Criminal Desk with Ford County District Court for the past 8.5 years. Most recently, in July of this year, Jamie launched her own crafting business, Hooves N Halos, creating custom cups, coffee mugs, t-shirts, and more.
Jamie and Tony married on September 14, 2002, and together they’ve built a large and loving family. She is the mother of Colten Pitts (and his wife Brenda), Mikahayla Beebe (and her husband John), and Laura and Sara Mier. She’s also a proud grandmother to Damon, Charles, and Oliver Pitts, and Justin, Kenzi, and Hunter Beebe.
Outside of work, Jamie enjoys crafting and family time. For the past three years, she and her daughter Sara have been active members of the National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA) in Kansas, blending their love of horses with community involvement.
From Hennessey High School graduate to business owner, court clerk, and grandmother, Jamie (Hawk) Mier continues to live a life full of dedication, creativity, and family.
