The Hennessey Rodeo Grounds roared to life this past weekend as the 2025 Round-Up Club Rodeo delivered two nights of thrills, spills, and community spirit.
Night 1 – Friday, August 15
Cowboys, cowgirls, and plenty of four-legged athletes kept the crowd on its feet with a full slate of events, including Ranch Bronc, Bull Riding, Tie-Down and Breakaway Roping, Steer Wrestling, Barrels, Jr. Barrels, Jr. Bulls, and Team Roping. Younger fans joined the fun with the Greased Pig Contest, Calf Scramble, and the ever-popular Mutton Busting. The new event parking area also proved handy for rodeo-goers.
Night 2 – Saturday, August 16
Saturday brought another packed house and a special moment as the Round-Up Club awarded its 2025 scholarships. Fernando Armenta, a Hennessey High School graduate, will attend the University of Oklahoma to study Architecture. Kendyll Miller, a graduate of EPIC Charter School, is headed to Northwestern Oklahoma State University to major in Ag Business and compete on the NWOSU Rodeo Team.
Throughout the weekend, the Hennessey Lions Club kept fans fueled with burgers and cold drinks. Two nights of packed stands and family fun once again proved why the Hennessey Rodeo remains a hometown tradition. Photos by AAH Shelley Muzny
