The world changed for the better on September 13, 1979, with the birth of Logan Macy. Raised in Hennessey, OK, by his parents Gary and Diane Macy, Logan has one brother, David Macy, who lives in Bridge Creek, OK. He graduated from Hennessey High School in 1999, where he was voted Basketball Homecoming King and excelled in basketball, football, and baseball.
After graduation, Logan earned his CDL and began driving a truck for PIC. Soon, however, he was presented with an opportunity to join the oilfield sector, which he embraced and has pursued for over 19 years. He started his career with SJL Well Service under Kenny and Shirley Lott, and he continues to work with that company as it has undergone several name changes over the years.
In May 2003, Logan married his beautiful wife, Melissa (Dierking) Macy. Together, they have built a wonderful and expanding family, which includes five children: Matthew Smith and his wife Livi from Hennessey, Jena Ray and her husband Colton from Yukon, Macee Smith and her fiancé Penner Streck from Hennessey, and Juliana and Larissa Macy, also from Hennessey. They are blessed with one granddaughter, Hadlie Parker Smith, and are eagerly anticipating the arrival of another granddaughter, Harper Lane Ray, and grandson, Owen David Streck. Logan and Melissa have made their home in Lacey, OK.
Logan has been a member of the Hennessey Volunteer Fire Department for 19 years and counting. He also coaches the 5th and 6th grade football teams and assists with the Hennessey High School football team. Logan is deeply involved in the Hennessey community, selflessly volunteering his time and talents. His heart is as big as his smile and his hugs. When emergencies arise—be it a fire, illness, or any crisis—Logan is always there, day or night, providing a friendly, familiar, calm, and loving presence. He holds your hand, offers a hug, or tells a joke to make things feel okay.
Logan is a devoted family man, and you will often see the entire Macy family supporting the children at various sports events. In his spare time, Logan enjoys racing dirt cars, a passion passed down from his father, Gary. Together, they spend countless hours racing alongside Logan’s two best helpers, John Bossa and Brian Burch. While Logan may have one of the most talented pit crews, he also has the best guardian angel watching over him, always along for the ride. AAH, Shelley Muzny
