Cozy Quilt Barn held a special event called the Quilt Soup Bucket Exchange. This brought the community together in a heartfelt and creative way. To participate, customers donated at least $30 worth of non-perishable food items. Once enrolled, each quilter filled a bucket with their favorite fabrics and returned it to Cozy Quilt Barn, where the buckets were shuffled and given to someone else in the exchange.
The recipient of each bucket, referred to as the “Chef”, took it home and used its contents to create handmade gifts. From tote bags and bowl cozies to table runners and quilts, each item was thoughtfully crafted with care. These creations were then brought back to Cozy Quilt Barn, to be unveiled at a birthday party celebration this past Saturday, April 19, where each Chef would finally meet the person for who they had made their gifts, their surprise “guest.”
In addition to the exchange participants, several others also contributed donations, adding to the spirit of generosity that defined the event. Together, they made a meaningful impact, both through their giving and their stitching.
