Last Sunday, February 23rd, Kingfisher County 911 received numerous calls from residents reporting a smell of natural gas outdoors. The Hennessey Fire Department, Kingfisher County Emergency Management, and the Kingfisher County Sheriffโs Office have determined that there was no gas leak. According to Kingfisher County Emergency Management, the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) was notified, and the source of the odor is currently under investigation. No additional information is available at this time. Officials advise that if you smell gas inside your home, you should call 911 immediately in case there is an actual gas leak at your property.
