Hennessey High School senior Blaney Sturgill spent the week February 10th-14th at the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City. Blaney applied and was accepted for The Oklahoma Senate High School Page Program. Students within this program have the opportunity to view the legislative process up close and gain a deeper understanding of state government. Once accepted to the program, students are assigned to one week during the legislative session, assist senators and staff with tasks, and participate in the Senate Page Mock Legislature on the floor of the Senate Chambers.
