Local author Lee E. Briix experienced overwhelming support at recent book signings for Train to Muddy Waters, selling out over 100 copies in Hennessey before the event even concluded. At the Kingfisher signing, demand exceeded supply, prompting the author to take orders, with additional copies expected from the printer within 7 to 10 days. Readers who placed orders will receive their books as soon as they arrive.
Beyond book sales, the signings provided an opportunity to reconnect with longtime friends and former students. Briix expressed gratitude for the chance to reminisce with familiar faces, though recalling names proved more challenging.
The success of the events was made possible with the support of Dover Town Hall, Hennessey Public Library, and Kingfisher Memorial Library, which hosted the signings. The author noted that while the experience was new for all involved, it ran smoothly and was well received.
In addition to Train to Muddy Waters, the author’s previous work, “The Hennessey Book”, has also sold out. More copies are currently being printed to meet demand.
