In Hennessey, there are two ways to know when full-on winter has arrived. You can look at the thermometer, but anyone in the world can do that. In Hennessey, we have a special way to know. We have the official Taggart’s Ice sculpture to let us know when it is darn cold every year!
This magnificent giant icicle is the work of Hennessey’s very own plumber/artist, Boyd Poteet. Each year, Boyd and Taggart’s Garden Center team up to create the ice sculpture. If you want to witness this spectacle, just head south of Hennessey to 8490 US 81 and take some selfies! Be sure to say hi to Eddy and the crew at the Garden Center while there!
