The Hennessey High School Basketball Teams hosted Tonkawa on January 3rd at The Dome. It was an exciting night, especially for senior Lady Eagle Katie Kennedy, who returned to the court after being sidelined due to injuries. She made a significant impact, scoring 20 points for the Lady Eagles, who defeated the Lady Buccaneers with a final score of 44-33. The Lady Eagles are coached by Brian Richardson and Lisa Weaver.
On the boys’ side, the Hennessey Eagles came out strong, but the game was competitive, with both teams trading the lead for most of the match. However, in the final minutes, Tonkawa pulled away to secure a 46-38 victory over the Eagles. Camdyn Richardson led the Eagles with an impressive 29 points. Unfortunately, the Eagles were without their starter, Hunter Weber, who is out due to injury. The Eagles are coached by Dallas Hunt and Doug Boyd. — AAH, Shelley Muzny
