Every year, exactly one week before Thanksgiving, hundreds of vocal music students from western Oklahoma come to Hennessey’s Eagle Event Center and auditorium to make music together. Students from 15 different schools rehearsed songs all day Thursday, the 21st, in preparation for the early evening concert. Hennessey’s choir director, Melissa Faulkner, coordinated the event with the assistance of the choir boosters and her Jr high and high school choir students.
In attendance this year there were approximately 250 high school students and 150 junior high students. The Jr Hi choir was directed by Deryla Dorsey from Shattuck and accompanied by Dr. Laura Hillman from Cheyenne. The high school choir was directed by Derrick Bready from NWOSU in Alva and accompanied by Sohailah Stout, from Mustang.
