Edgar Olmos, a Hennessey local is the founder of Okie Hauling LLC, a business that symbolizes his transition from being a part of a large corporation to the path of entrepreneurship. After graduating in 2010 from Hennessey High, Edgar spent seven years in the oilfield industry, ultimately working as an MWD Field Engineer at Halliburton Sperry Drilling Services. When the industry faced challenges due to COVID-19, he decided to return home to Hennessey and start a new chapter by launching Okie Hauling in 2021. What began as a small material hauling operation quickly grew as Edgar listened to customer needs and invested in a skid steer along with over 15 attachments.
