NJHA Fed Steer Shootout Winners 2024

2024 NJHA Fed Steer Shootout Winners  The 2024 NJHA Fed Steer Shootout winners were recognized in Kansas City, with HRC Feed Yards LLC hosting the annual event which attracted 72 junior participants from 20 states. The winners received over $15,000 in cash prizes and awards from the Hereford Youth Foundation of America. Abigail Vander Groef from Newton, New Jersey, was named the 2023 Contestant of the Year in the senior division, while Jarrett Worrell from Mason, Texas, earned the same title in the junior division. Jordan Mitchem from Vale, North Carolina, was named the Contestant of the Year in the senior division. Participants gave speeches and were interviewed by judges to determine the final placings, showcasing their knowledge of the cattle feeding industry.

This year’s award winners are:

Champion Individual Purebred Steer – Lauren Jones, Darlington, Wis.

Reserve Champion Individual Purebred Steer Cricket Collins, Frederick, Okla.

Champion Pen of Three Commercial Steers  Ryan Pribil of Hennessey, OK
