FAKE MONEY TEST POSITIVE FOR DRUGS

On 09/28/2024, a concerning incident unfolded in Hennessey involving movie prop $100 bills that were discovered at a softball field and turned over to a Hennessey Police Officer. What initially seemed like a harmless find took a disturbing turn when the Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Office took a cut sample of one of the prop bills, which tested positive for narcotics.

Fake bills were also found up and down Main Street on Wednesday, September 18th.   Luckily, there were no reports of ill effects from the money picked up.

Authorities in Hennessey are diligently investigating the situation, and the public can expect to be informed once the investigation is concluded. In the meantime, a crucial message is being shared with the community to ensure safety. Parents are urged to advise their children not to pick up anything from the ground if they are unsure of its origin. Any suspicions or unusual discoveries should be reported immediately to 911.

When questioned about the specific drug involved in this incident, All About Hennessey was informed that a field test was conducted on the scene. Still, definitive confirmation of the narcotic type awaits results from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) as updates continue to emerge.
