Three kindergarten classes visited the Hennessey Fire Department on Tuesday, September 17th for an exciting and educational experience. The children had the opportunity to learn about the various tools that firefighters use, try on firefighting gear, and explore several fire trucks. To top it off, each student had a chance to operate the hoses used by firefighters to extinguish fires, creating a memorable and hands-on learning experience. These visits aimed to familiarize the young students with the role of firefighters and what to expect during a visit from the fire department, fostering both knowledge and safety awareness.Â
