The Hennessey JH/HS Cross Country Team traveled to Weatherford on Saturday, August 24, 2024. They competed in the 2024 Weatherford Sand Plum Invitational Meet. Over 100 contestants competed, and the Hennessey Eagles made their presence known. The lady eagles ran 1.5 miles. In the High School Division, the Lady Eagles were led by Jocelyn Matousek, taking 7th place (9:43), Emma Copeland 11th (9:55), Taylor Franklin 39th (11:03), Star Torres 41st (11:06), JoHanna Matousek 57th (11:30), Marisol Valles 72nd (12:22) and Kate Curran 76th (12:33). The Hennessey High School Eagles, with close to 150 competitors Seth Sims and Asher Ward gave them some competition. Seth Sims 62nd (11:55) and Asher Ward 64th (11:57) placed respectively in the meet, running 2 miles. JH results were not available at this time.
