Just after sunset last Tuesday night, June 25th, strong straight-line winds swept through central Oklahoma, causing widespread power outages and out-building damage. Mike Wood’s shipping container and carport blew over 10 miles east of town, and Tim Taggart lost the roof on an outbuilding five east of town. The city of Cashion was without power for several days due to heavy powerline damage. Areas south and east of Hennessey also lost power for several hours. Photo provided.
