Vandin Vadder, HHS Freshman won for the second year in a row last week in the Wood Only Division of the Ag Mechanics Show on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at the 2024 NorthwestDistrict Junior Livestock Show in Enid.
Vandin competed in the ag mechanics competition and won for his desk project. He also placed third in the Overall Showmanship category which included about 100 competitors.
Two other HHS students won in the showmanship competition including,
Kaden Kennedy and Kaden Moulton, came in seventh place with their custom up-down bars. The group is led by Hennessey Ag direction Jorge Huizar.
Vadder won with his customized maple desk that included a galaxy-themed solid epoxy top. The desk was designed using SketchUp, a 3-D modeling program, then imported it to a CNC machine used to cut the parts. To bring the galaxy-themed top to life he added LED lights. Photo provided
