James (Jim) Everett Bruner, Jr., having fought the good fight, having kept the faith, finished his race on January 10, 2024 with his loving wife by his side.
Jim was born in Mansfield, Louisiana on August 11, 1951 to the late James and Catherine Bruner, Sr. Jim graduated from Hennessey High School in 1969. Shortly after high school Jim volunteered for the US Army and was a proud veteran.
Jim married Virginia (Ginny) Randolph in Mt Vernon, IL in 1974, and remained steadfastly married for 49 years. Jim and Ginny moved to Hennessey shortly after marrying and made Hennessey their home. Jim faithfully served the Hennessey Church of Christ as an Elder for many years before his retirement.
Jim is survived by his wife Ginny Bruner; sons, Chad (wife Jennifer) Bruner of Edmond, OK, Christopher (wife Jennifer) Bruner of Anna, TX; and grandson, Wyatt. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kerri Marie. He is also survived by brothers Bill Bruner of Tulsa, OK and Mark Bruner of Hennessey, OK and sisters Dot Goodpasture of Enid, OK, and Kay Chatterji of Enid, OK.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Hennessey Church of Christ officiated by Lanny Jobe. Open casket viewing at 1:00PM.
