Jackie Lee Hatfield (Jack) died peacefully on December 28, 2023 at the age of 89.
Jack is survived by son, Dr. Randy Hatfield of Washington, DC, daughters Jackie Radford of Crescent, OK, Gwen Roberts of Denver, CO, Tresa Beard of Nashville, TN, and 8 grandsons and 3 granddaughters He is also survived by brothers Johnny Hatfield of Grand Prairie, TX and Larry Hatfield of Tahlequah, OK.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vonceal Hatfield of Hennessey and son Greg Hatfield of Arkansas.
Jack was born in Dahlonegah, OK on September 20, 1934 to the late Dutch and Odell Hatfield. Jack graduated from Stilwell High School in Stilwell, OK in 1956. He graduated from Northeastern State College in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree and taught industrial arts.
Jack and Vonceal were married in Gallup, NM in 1960, and Jack has been a resident of Hennessey for 55 years. He worked in the oil field industry for many years as a pipeline welder and fabricator and traveled just about every back road in OK.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the Hennessey Church of Christ at 10:00 AM Saturday December 30,2023. The casket will remain closed. Interment will be at the Stilwell City Cemetery in Stilwell, Oklahoma at 2:00 PM Tuesday January 2, 2024 under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home, Hennessey.
