The funeral for Jarrett Andrew Smith, 15 will be at 2:00 PM Friday November 24, 2023 at Hennessey High School Auditorium officiated by Drew McElhaney. Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. Viewing times will be Thursday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM and Friday from 9:00 AM until 12:00.
Jarrett was born in Enid on March 4, 2008 to Preston and Kenda and died Monday November 20, 2023 at Integris Bass Baptist Medical Center in Enid.
Jarrett’s passion was baseball and riding his motorcycle with friends.
He is survived by his mother Kenda Copeland and Brandon McKay, his father Preston Smith; one brother Weston Smith, one sister Makynlee Copeland, Taylor and Micah McKay; paternal grandparents Eric and Rose Smith; maternal grandparents Rex Seiger, Deborah and Steve Martinez, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made in his name to the Jarrett Smith Scholarship Fund with the funeral home serving as custodian.
