A round hay bailer caught on fire Wednesday evening (October 18th) at about 6 p.m. while bailing hay along the highway. The fire was about one mile south of Hennessey on Hwy 81 just south of E640/Conoco Road. Hennessey Fire responded with a brush truck and tanker and quickly extinguished the fire. A passing farmer stopped and helped pick up and move a hay bale that was in the path of the fire. Hennessey Police assisted with traffic control.
