Construction on the new John Deutschendorf Memorial Pavilion has officially begun! The pavilion is located one block off Main St., on West 1st street. The first step in the construction process involves removing all of the old foundations and concrete from buildings that were demolished years ago. Bryan Burch, Wastewater Supervisor with the Town of Hennessey, has been hard at work over the past few days, pulling up concrete in preparation for the upcoming dirt work.
Once the groundwork is complete, Lightle Sand & Construction will donate the fill dirt needed to raise and level the structure location. David Fuksa’s F5 Construction will then build the pad site in preparation for concrete. The town, along with Lightle’s, Fuksa’s, and Hennessey Metal Buildings, is generously donating their time to make this project possible.
