Hennessey Firefighters responded to a wind turbine transformer fire on June 26th at about noon. Hennessey worked the fire with a single brush truck and called for help from Dover for foam but was able to extinguish the fire without it. The fire was contained to the transformer at the base of the turbine tower located south of the intersection of 2940 and 660 southeast of Hennessey. Hennessey Fire was assisted by Kingfisher County Emergency Management.
