The Pride of Hennessey Band held its annual banquet and awards ceremony last Tuesday.  The awards were as follows:

Hub City Invitational Marching Contest at Clinton HS: Superior and 1st Place in Class 3A

OSSAA Northwest Regional Marching Contest:  Superior Rating

OSSAA District Concert Band Contest:  Superior Ratings in Concert Performance and Sight Reading.

OSSAA State Band Contest:  Excellent in Concert Performance and Superior in Sight Reading.

The Band was also the recipient of the OSSAA Distinguished Academic Achievement Award for having a GPA of 3.5 or greater.  Their GPA was a 3.615.

This past Thursday, May 4, the high school concert band and jazz band performed at the Tri-State Music Festival at Enid High School and earned Superior Ratings in Concert Performance and Jazz Band Performance.
