FOR THE LOVE OF DOGS

Friends & Family gathered this afternoon for the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the new ScissorTails Dog Salon & Spa.  Hennessey Town Trustee Harold Shaw and owner Ariel Pitts cut the ribbon for the new business.

Dog lover, Ariel Pitts, loves her furry friends so much that she made a career out of grooming them. Ariel is from Kingfisher and married Aaron Pitts, the Hennessey police chief, in 2010. They have three boys, Jaxon, Jett, and Jonah, along with their family dogs, Pomeranians, Sylvie and Luca and a standard poodle, Roxxy. She chose Hennessey to set up shop so that she could be near her family and friends.

She went to school at the Academy of Dog Grooming Arts in OKC, after graduating she worked at Karrenbrock Vet Clinic in Okarche as the clinic dog groomer from 2014 to 2020. When the pandemic hit it did not slow her down as she continued to work safely out of her home grooming her dog clients.

Ariel offers a full service for your dogs grooming needs, from baths to haircuts, she will even paint the trimmed nails, and can’t forget about their freshly brushed canine teeth for the doggie kisses.

She welcomes all breeds of dogs and size doesn’t matter with her amazing lift station. Scissortails Dog Salon and Spa is located at 409 N. Main in Hennessey. Open Monday through Friday 9am-5pm.
