HENNESSEY Elizabeth Kay Meeker was born October 1, 1943 in Yakima, Washington to Clifford and Juanita Clinkenbeard Perry and died January 4, 2023 at Hennessey Care Center. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Kay grew up in Paden, Oklahoma with her many siblings where she learned how to fish and garden, two of her biggest passions.
She married Robert “Bob” Meeker on September 15, 1962. They lived briefly in Hastings, Minnesota then moved to Weatherford, Oklahoma eventually buying a farm in Hydro, Oklahoma where they raised their two sons.
Kay loved to garden and could make about anything grow. She could make a meal from practically nothing and could fry fish like no other. She taught all her grandkids her passion for fishing creating some great memories for them. Her sons will tell you some of their best memories were their fishing trips and competitions on who had the biggest fish.
Bob and Kay were married over sixty years. They also lived in Hill Top Lakes, Texas where they had many friends, including a few deer, and enjoyed golfing and fishing. Their marriage is a testimony to their love for one another which showed in how well they took care of each other throughout all of life’s challenges. Kay had an amazing laugh which she is surely doing in Heaven with her sisters, brothers, and her mom and dad.
Kay is survived by her husband Bob Meeker of Hennessey; her two sons Chad Meeker and wife Kathryn of Hennessey, Kent Meeker and wife JoLyn of Blanchard, five grandchildren Paige Paul and husband Taylor, Addi Fenton, and husband Easton, Kadee Meeker, Luke Meeker, Allie Meeker and great-granddaughter Journi; three sisters and three brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers.
