The former daycare building located behind the Hennessey Library was torn down last week by Jackson Wrecking Co. Last year, the Hennessey Firefighters asked the town board to use the building for fire rescue training. They used it several times but found it was in worse condition than anticipated. The building was being vandalized and had a lot of termite damage.
The Hennessey Board of Trustees discussed several options for the structure, including giving it to someone to disassemble. On April 14th, 2022, they voted to hire Jackson Wrecking to tear down the building.
