No, it is not a cruel joke. That is the weight of 200 pork butts cooked by the Hennessey Reserve Angels all day Saturday, November 29th. Using five industrial-sized cookers, including one that used to be a VW bug, The 11 volunteers started at 5 am and wrapped up at about 10:30pm.
The meat which was donated by Seaboard foods, and the Oklahoma Pork Council was sold for $30 each. Proceeds from this sale go to help the Reserve Angels provide Christmas gifts for deserving families in the Hennessey area.
