Another Collision in the Construction Zone

ANOTHER COLLISION IN THE CONSTRUCTION ZONE

The construction on Hwy 51 east of Hennessey was the scene of another collision last Thursday, September 22 about 11:30 am.  According to the OHP, William Voskuhl was driving his tan Oldsmobile eastbound on SH 51 just east of CR 2930 (Banner Rd.). Mr. Voskuhl had a medical issue. Mr. Voskuhl entered the westbound lane and struck the rear of the trailer of the semi that was being driven by Garcia Quevedo Orelvys, then Mr. Voskuhl continued east and struck a Dodge Challenger being driven by Lori Calhoun from TX. Mr. Voskuhl continued east, running into the front of a white Chevrolet pickup being driven by a William Herrera.  Mr. Voskuhl was transported to St Mary’s Hospital in Enid by LIFE EMS, where he was treated and released.  This area has been the scene of 3 serious accidents since the construction has begun about a year ago.  The wreck was worked by Hennessey Fire, LIFE EMS, OHP, and Kingfisher County Sheriff’s Department.
