Navajo Woman Passes Through Oklahoma

NAVAJO WOMAN PASSES THROUGH OKLAHOMA ON WALK FROM AZ TO D.C. TO RAISE AWARENESS FOR MISSING & MURDERED INDIGENOUS PEOPLE

Starting last month, Seraphine Warren has been walking from Sweetwater, AZ, and is making her way to Washington D.C. to raise awareness and funds for missing and murdered indigenous people. Her aunt, Ella Mae Begay, has been missing from her home on the Navajo Nation Reservation for over a year. The Navajo Nation and FBI are investigating the case. On Thursday, July 28th, she walked through Hennessey.

On this journey, she has a driver following her close by to keep her safe and to spread the word. She has 16,000 people following her journey on her Facebook page, “Trailing Ellamae.”

Each day, Warren dedicates her walk to different people and prays for them along the way.

Although she is not on a schedule, she expects to be in D.C. by early October.
