The new excavator the town purchased almost a year ago arrived, and they didn’t waste any time putting it to work. The new Bobcat E60 mini excavator arrived last Thursday night, along with the new trailer.
Bryan Burch, Town Waste Water Supervisor, said, “We are still waiting on the mower and jackhammer attachments that connect to the boom. The mower will allow us to mow around the sewer lagoons and the pond at Bull Foot Park.”
Burch explained this new machine’s long reach would let us dig up waterlines without driving into yards in most cases. In addition, the new Bobcat has heat and air-conditioning, making lengthy repairs in the hot and cold a little more bearable. Alyssa Kubat, Water Supervisor, was one of the first to try it out during a water leak repair on S Cherokee St.
