The annual Hennessey Fire Department fundraising dinner preparation was interrupted when a large fire west of Hennessey called all the volunteer firefighters out to work about 1:30pm. With the help of 8 area fire departments, they were able to return to the station about 5pm, just in time to serve dinner to the community. Many of the out of town firefighters that assisted with the fire were invited to join Hennessey for dinner.
A large crowd attended the event, enjoying great food on the warm spring evening. Mediflight of Oklahoma flew in one of their medical helicopters for visitors to check out and to ask questions.
