STILLWATER, Okla. – Elizabeth Pribil of Hennessey, Oklahoma, is a recipient of the inaugural Ferguson College of Agriculture Freshmen Excellence Award.
Pribil is a sophomore at Oklahoma State University studying food science. She is the daughter of Roger and Cindy Pribil.
“Elizabeth’s strong academic performance, combined with her work experience and college involvement is commendable,” said Dr. Cynda Clary, Ferguson College of Agriculture’s associate dean of academic programs. “She has built a solid foundation for her continued success at OSU.”
During her freshman year, Pribil served as the Food Science Club vice president and National Society of Collegiate Scholars vice president. She was also a member of the Freshmen in Transition Living Learning Program and the Meat Science Club.
“The Ferguson College of Agriculture offers a lot of opportunities for leadership and involvement,” Pribil said. “It’s something that has helped me in my college career.”
Pribil gave back to her community in a number of ways her freshman year, including volunteering at Golden Oaks Retirement Village and Into the Streets, a campus-wide day of community service.
