The fish fry fundraiser held last week raised $2,250 in donations. This was to help the Hennessey Senior Citizens Center with its operations. The Hennessey Masons matched that amount making the total of $4,512. “We hope to be able to do this at least once a year with our community matching funds.” Jack Painter, a member of Coronado Lodge #56 said.
“This will go a long way in helping us operate.” Lavonne O’Bryant, Senior Citizen Center manager, said. The center has about 15 members who eat lunch and socialize daily, along with their Meals on Wheels program delivers lunch to about ten homebound people daily.
