HENNESSEY
The funeral for Randy Hardin, 67 will be at 10:30 AM Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at First Baptist Church officiated by Jimmy Berkenbile. Burial will follow at Hennessey Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. The casket will remain closed at Randy’s request.
Randy was born at Marlow on October 9, 1953, to Floyd W. and Jeanita Vinson Hardin and died Wednesday, August 5, 2021, at his home southwest of Hennessey. Randy moved to Hennessey in 1974 and worked for Industrial Ignition until 1983 when he bought Hardin Ignition. He married Sandra Streck in Hennessey on June 6, 1975. Randy owned two U. S. Patents for inventions, one was a joint venture with brother Ross.
He worked on the “chain gang” for Hennessey Eagle football for many years, he loved golf, go fishing, hunting enjoyed playing the drums, and was a diehard OU fan.
Randy is survived by his wife Sandra of the home; two daughters Stacie Hardin, Amy Smith, three grandchildren Alexis Clark, Lincoln Smith, Ben Smith, two brothers Floyd J. Hardin and wife Gail, Ross Hardin and wife Nadine, all of Hennessey; three sisters Darlene Trost and husband Rick of Aztec, New Mexico, Nita LaRose and husband Dave of Conway, South Carolina, Brenda Culp and husband Greg of Edmond, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Jeanita Hardin, one brother M. L. Johnson, and two nephews.
