Hennessey got an economic boost today as about 700 cars and thousands of people caravanned into our small town. The event was coordinated by local business man Tony Blackburn as a way to help Hennessey with the downturn in business from Covid and the oil slump. The Cruisin’ Oklahoma car club organizer Jarod Holt said, “This is the biggest one we have had. Hennessey really stepped up and proved to be a wonderful host.” The daylong event featured cars of every kind, a burnout contest, helicopter rides, and games for the kids, a live band, vendors and dyno pulls. All of the Hennessey restaurants and business were open and doing good business. More to come in this week’s edition of the All About Hennessey POST newspaper as well as the All About Hennessey Show on Thursday night.
