Hennessey volunteer firefighters attended a National Weather Service storm spotter training webinar Wednesday night (February, 23rd). 12 firefighters, along with Hennessey Police Chief Ed Cangiano, were present to learn the basics of severe weather spotting. The class outlined the basics of thunderstorm development, fundamentals of storm structure, identifying potential severe weather features, information to report, how to report information, and basic severe weather safety. The National Weather Service will be conducting an advanced webinar class on March 30th.
