Services for Eva Shamburg, 86 will be held at Liberty Cemetery in Fay at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.
Eva was born in Fay on January 5, 1934 to Orlin Martin “Jack” and Carrie May Phipps Spangler and died Saturday September 12, 2020 at her home in Hennessey.
Eva married Keith Shamburg in Watonga on July 30, 1960.
Keith’s career in the U. S. Air Force required the family to move frequently and Eva was a true military wife always taking care of the home and family. Eva was an avid seamstress and gardener. She always enjoyed canning the bounty of her garden for her family.
The family moved to Hennessey in 1974.
Eva is survived by one daughter Valerie Shamburg of Hennessey; one son Greg Shamburg and wife Kelly of Enid; two grandchildren Kaleb Shamburg and McKenzie Shamburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keith and four brother and four sisters.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimers Association with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
