HENNESSEY FIRE DEPARTMENT GETS NEW RATING
The Hennessey Fire Department has worked hard to achieve the Insurance Services Office (ISO) Class 3 rating for the community. Communities are rated Class 1-10 based on their abilities to extinguish fires and protect property. Class 1 exemplifies superior firefighting capabilities and class 10 is given to those with no fire protection. Property insurance premiums are based on these ratings. A class 3 puts Hennessey Fire Department in the top 14% of fire departments nationwide regardless of size. The new rating will become effective October 1, 2020.
