Before school was shutdown, the Hennessey choir department was only a few weeks from presenting the Broadway Musical, โNewsiesโ. The elaborate sets were all built in the auditorium and the costumes and props ready were to go. Then, it all stopped. But Mrs. Berkenbile didnโt quit. The large cast continued to practice using Zoom and FaceTime to keep the show alive. Last night was the first time some of the cast was able to practice together in person in a barn. Berkenbile said, โWe can only meet in small groups at a time. Each small group will meet approximately once a month.โ They will continue with rehearsal through the summer, then dust off the sets, and perform the musical on September *11th, 12th and 13th. (*HHS does not have a football game this week)
