This is a good news, bad news, good news story about how fiber internet is wreaking havoc on Hennessey water lines.
THE GOOD NEWS: Pioneer Internet has contractors installing fiber internet cable south of town that will bring blazing fast internet service to the Hennessey area.
THE BAD NEWS: The Hennessey Public Works crews have been very busy the past few weeks chasing water leaks south of town. Hennessey Public Works Director Curtis Turner said, “with the amount of construction going on there are bound to be lines hit. The recent wave of leaks has been mostly due to undocumented waterlines that were installed many years ago.”
THE GOOD NEWS: Every time a line is hit it gives the town the opportunity to install valves that will help minimize future outages to small areas.
