WATER MAIN REPAIRS AND IMPROVEMENTS Today (December 19)
South Mitchell Road between 7th St. and Conoco Rd is closed this afternoon so that the main waterline that feeds the town can be repaired. Grade Works Construction is working with the Hennessey town crew to make the repair. Tiffany Tillman, Town Clerk said, “We were losing water from the tower and found a main was leaking and the water was going down the ditch along Conoco Road making it hard to find.” Tillman also said, “As we repair leaks in the water mains, we are installing new valves allowing us to turn off only the areas needed, rather than turning off the entire town.” Water should be restored by late this afternoon.
