Yesterday, October 2nd, The Senior Leadership class had a visit from Hennessey’s Police Chief Hank Weber, Reserve Captain and K-9 Officer Bryan Burch, and Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers Jeff Jech and Tanner Beckner.
Both OHP Troopers spoke about the requirements it takes to become a trooper along with the pros and cons of the job.
Chief Weber offered the students a chance to do ride alongs if they are interested in learning about what it takes to be an officer.
Officer Burch did a K-9 demonstration by hiding cocaine in Barb Walter’s (one of the organizers of the leadership class)car.
The class ended with student, Gage Zelnicek, being brave enough to put on a sleeve to show how the K-9 attacked. Story and photos by Mariana Gonzalez.
